Etosha, “a place of dry water” is an absolute delight for wildlife viewing due to its high concentration of animal and birdlife. Located just 435 km off Windhoek, the park is known for its white saltpan that covers more than 25 percent of the Park. This saline and rich pan has a depression which fills up with water during rains and is a huge attraction for all kinds of wildlife.
Swakopmund is a very pretty and small town, it is the true holiday destination. Tour operators offer a lot of adventure activities into the desert by 4x4 or scenic flights. It disposes a number of good restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as hotels, guesthouses and self-catering hotels.Walvis Bay, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean air about 30km from Swakopmund. The landscape over the road between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund is wonderful; on the one side you can admire the blue Ocean and on the other side the Namib Desert.
