Zimbabwe, officially called the Republic of Zimbabwe is encompassed by the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers and is surrounded by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique on all sides. Zimbabwe. Once the richest country in South Africa, Zimbabwe is now struggling with its economy and hence even though our Safaris are all about luxury and comfort, they are pretty affordable. The top National Parks for the Wildlifer are Mana Pools(Zambezi), Lake Kariba’s Matusadona, and of course Hwange. These are best visited in June July during the dry season.
REACHING ZIMBABWE
There are plenty of flight options through Mumbai to Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe (via Nairobi or Johannesburg). However from Delhi Ethiopian Air has a good connection via Bole. There are plenty of international and domestic options on Zimbabwen, South African Airways, Airlink and Air Zimbabwe for Zimbabwe. Air Zimbabwe is the cheapest operator for domestic routes like the Harare - Johannesburg, Harare-Bulawayo, Harare-Victoria Falls, Bulawayo-Victoria Falls, Bulawayo-Johannesburg, Victoria Falls-Johannesburg. There is also a no frills airline called Kulula.com. Bulawayo also has an international airport.
Some scheduled small and Charter aircrafts can also be taken to the lodges and our popular wildlife destinations like the Lake Kariba, Zambezi River, Victoria Falls and Hwange. The same can be booked as per your requirement.
Taxis, Bus(Greyhound) or self drive are options that can be taken in Zimbabwe as all parks are connected via roads. However roads are not that smooth and caution must be taken while driving.
Trains can also be taken through and to the beautiful Hwange National Park from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls.

Mana Pools National Park
Mana Pools National Park is a well deserved UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the Zambezi river offering Stunning Landscapes and excellent Game viewing, this is one of our favourite wildlife destination. Mana derives its name from the four permanent pools formed by the middle Zambezi river, Mana meaning four in Shona language of the native Shona people of Zimbabwe. A best kept African secret, this Park is absolutely virgin with the highest concentration of hippopotamus, crocodiles, elephants and buffalo. Parched animals and birds visit the Park in search of water during the dry season giving us excellent opportunites for wildlife viewing and photography.
ACCESS :
Mana Pools National Park can be accessed via Harare International Airport or Victoria Falls Airport. The Park is a 4 hours drive or a short charter from Harare(approx 388 kms). Charters and local flights also operate between Victoria Falls Airport and Mana Pools. Suggested programs will take care of your travel requirement to Mana Pools as well.

WILDLIFE :
Except the Rhino, Big Five is pretty abundant in Mana Pools and are free to rome within the lodge and park with no fencing. More than 380 bird species have been recorded in the Area including some very rare species like the Pel’s fishing owl and Rufus bellied heron.

Matusadona National Park
Located in northern Zimbabwe on the banks of the beautiful Lake Kariba , this park derives its name from the local Matuzviadonha Hills. Matuzviadonha in the local language means Falling dung, as the locals call it watching Elephants deposit their dung on these hills while travelling to the Zambezi. This remote and stunning National Park with its majestic hills and lakes is home to several species of wildlife including the black rhino.
ACCESS :
Bumi Hills Airstrip is the best option by Air to get into Matusadona National Park. This is approximately 60kms away from Kariba. The airline operates 3 times a week to Harare and Victoria Falls airport(1h15m).
Charters can also be taken into Kariba Airport.
Cruise can be taken to Marineland Harbour which is a 25min drive from Kariba International Airport.
Road transfers are also possible, but not recommended as the drive from Victoria Falls can get a bit rough and only a 4WD can navigate through these roads.

Hwange National Park
Located in the Southwest of Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is the largest and the most popular National Park of Zimbabwe with great geological diversity and great game. Just a few kilometers from the Kalahari and the Victoria Falls, this park is home to over 410 bird species and the extremely diverse 108 mammal species that includes one of the largest populations of Tuskers in the World.
ACCESS :
The park is approximately 200kms from Victoria Falls Airport. It can be reached via road, self driven/taxis, a scheduled luxury coach service (pathfinder) or charter flights can be organized.
SIZE :
14600 sq. km.
WILDLIFE :
The Park has one of the largest populations of Elephants, besides 107 other recorded mammal species. This is the only park where the rare African wild dogs, gemsbok and brown hyena are found in abundance. Over 410 bird species are found here that include Raptors in huge numbers, Southern ground hornbill and Bradfield’s hornbill, African Golden Oriole and Burchell’s sandgrouse.
