Visa is required prior to travelling to Zimbabwe. Visa can be obtained from the local embassy.
Zimbabwe immigration is in the process of launching a website where Category C's including Indians can apply online. Following is the list of documents required (till recent notice) to avail a visa for Zimbabwe:
1) A Valid Passport.
2) Duly filled Visa Application forms
3) Two recent photographs
4) Blank pages in passport for visa stamp.
5) Copies of onward ticket/ itinerary (only for Transit Visa)
6) Hotel confirmation
7) 6 months bank statement
8) Last 3 years income tax return.
All visitors traveling from India to Zimbabwe are required to possess a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever. Please note that the certificate must be issued by an approved vaccination centre (minimum ten days prior to the arrival in Zimbabwe). Vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and typhoid are recommended. There is a risk of malaria all year in most of the country, advised use of Prophylaxis.
Zimbabwe is in South African Time zone and Standard Time is 2 hours ahead of GMT.
Zimbabwe’s high altitude makes up for its tropical location and gives the country great weather. November to April being the hottest months (at maximum 35 deg Celcius) are also the rainiest months. Winter months prevail from May to October and are considered the best time for game viewing in Zimbabwe as these are also the drier months.
September/October are the driest months with good weather and are considered the best time of the year to visit Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe doesn’t have a local currency anymore. The Indian Rupee is widely accepted, besides the South African Rand, the US Dollar, British Pound, Euro and other major currencies.
Banks are usually closed on Sundays and Public holidays. The opening hours are as follows.

Saturday – 08h to 1130
ATMs of course are open 24 hours.
Very much like India, service charge is usually added to the bill. In case not added, 10% tip of the total bill amount is normally appreciated.

Yes you can. There is a GSM 900 network in most areas especially tourist areas. However in the lodges, the signal could be weak.
Internet facilities are also readily available in Zimbabwe.
The local electricity supply is 220/240 volts AC, 50HZ and Type G electrical outlet. It is recommended to carry universal adapter and converter kit. If you face any problems the hotel staff will assist you by providing suitable chargers and adapters.
