UGANDA or Republic of Uganda is a country on East African plateau sharing borders with five countries namely Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. The country has an equatorial climate and its Nile basins and several smaller lakes habituating a big chunk of wildlife. River Nile (world’s second largest river) originates in Uganda and different habitats and cultures flourish on each side of the river. There are 60 protected area and 10 National Parks in Uganda where the Wildlifer can experience more than a thousand species of birds and 80% of the African mammals. Forests of Uganda are intriguing and dense with thick vegetation and blessed with heavy rains. People often have apprehensions about Uganda as a safe travel destination. Kampala is the National Capital of Uganda. You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport which is 35kms southwest of Kampala. There are no direct flights to Uganda from India. Airlines like Air India, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenyan Airways and Qatar Airways provide connecting flights to Entebbe International Airport. Taxi service, minibus or hotel shuttle are commutable modes of transport from Airport to the capital city Kampala.
