Day 1 - Canoeing
Arrive at the guesthouse in the little village Baggbron by lake Storsjön near Skinnskatteberg. You will be greeted by your hosts Eva and Allan who are running this wonderful little guesthouse. They are also sheep farmers with over 200 sheep and lambs grazing the surrounding meadows. Move your bags into your room, lay down in your bed and feel like home. Enjoy a warm dinner served by Allan in the small restaurant overlooking the lake. Now, your first adventure is awaiting! A canoe is ready for you just outside the door. This canadian style canoe is stable and safe and fits two adults and two kids. Canoeing is the ideal way to explore the lake and the pristine surrounding forests. We provide a waterproof map that marks out some of the highlights of this lake called Skärsjön. It is a large lake but with several islands and two connecting streams to explore for Beavers and other wildlife. Return before dark. Sleep well at the guesthouse.

Day 2 - Beaver Safari
After breakfast you have a whole day to explore the surrounding forest and lake. Either on foot or by canoe. Perhaps you can spot the Black-throated divers, an Osprey catching a fish, a Black woodpecker or one of the Red Squirrels visiting the veranda. Lunch at the guesthouse veranda. In the evening you meet up with one of our guides. Get ready to head out for a Beaver Safari on a nearby lake with big chances to see Beavers up close. The tour takes about 5 hours and we are using a rubber boat with electric engine to increase our chances to get near to the Beavers during sunset. We’re having an outdoor dinner on an island where the Beavers have cut down lots of trees. We return to the guesthouse late at night.
Important note: The Beaver Safari departs from Karmansbo Herrgard, which is located in Karmansbo village 26km South of Pensionat Udden and Baggbron. If you travel by car we ask you to drive to the starting point at your own. The drive is about 30 minutes. A map is available free of charge at the reception. If you do not have your own car, we will come to pick you up at Pensionat Udden approximately 30 minutes before the Beaver Safari starts. We will also drive you back after the Beaver Safari.

Day 3 - Moose Safari
After breakfast you will have a free morning to go for a hike or even another excursion in the canoe. Or perhaps you just need some rest at the veranda of the guesthouse. Enjoy another lunch at the guesthouse. In the afternoon you will meet up with one of our wildlife guides again. This time for a Moose Safari. The surrounding forest is exceptionally good for Moose watching and our guides have succeeded in finding wild Moose on each tour since 2003. The tour lasts for about 5 hours and you return to the guesthouse after sunset late at night. An outdoor evening meal is included during the evening.
Important note: The Moose Safari departs from Kolarbyn Ecolodge but we will pick you up at Pensionat Udden approximately 30 minutes after the advertised starting time for the Moose Safari. We will drop you at Pensionat Udden after the Moose Safari.

Day 4 - Departure or Wolf howling tour
Breakfast at the veranda. Get ready for departure or extend your stay with a night in the Wolf territory. Our Wolf howling tours are very popular and often fully booked, but only offered on selected Thursdays from the end of June until the end of September. Please note that the Wolf howling tour has a recommended age limit of 15 years.
