Kibale National Park: Kibale is Uganda’s unique park that contains lowland and montane forests. With an area spanning over 750kms that has extreme environmental attributes in north and south. Northern region is the wettest area and southern Kibala opens up in the vast grasslands of Queen Elizabeth Park. 13 species of Primates and chimpanzees are found in abundance with best of flaura and fauna. Guided nature walks to get introduced to the leaf eating Primates, Colubus Monkeys and 325 prolific bird species are the specialities of Kibala.
Queen Elizabeth National Park: (QENP spreads over 1978sq.kms) is the most visited park of Uganda and big gaming destination. The savannas, lakes and grasslands reside 600 recorder species of birds and 95 mammals. The Ishasha region in the heart of the park has tree climbing lions and highest concentration of Hippos in the world. Park has its own tracks to trace the big four in their natural habitat along with monkeys and baboons. Take a boat trip in Kazinga channel and picture hippos from close distance.
Biwindi Impenetrable: Home of the mountain Gorillas. Half of the endangered population of Mountain Gorillas resides in this UNESCO protected world heritage site. To track them is still not easy as the forests are extremely dense and it can take up to 10 hrs to trace your first group of gleeful gorillas. With the very sight of this king of Biwindi would drift away all the tiredness. Nature Walks (only option), trekking with keen eyes and strong foot would make it a unique adventure in rugged forest. There are 300+ other species of colorful birds habituated in Biwindi impenetrable forest.
Lake Mburo: Lake Mburo is Uganda’s smallest Savannah Park located in western part of the country. The park has 5 lakes and 68 species of mammals (including indigenous Impalas, Bruchell’s Zebra, Leopards and Hippos in high numbers. 350 recorded species of birds and upto 300 hippos can be found. This 350sq.meter Park can be covered in a day through activities like nature walks, Game viewing and Birding.
