Day 1
You will be met and assisted for your flight from Port Moresby to Mount Hagen. Mount Hagen Town is in the upper Wahgi Valley - a valley with some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world. Perched high on Mount Kuta is Rondon Ridge, with unbelievable views of the Wahgi Valley. Guests are accommodated in 12 units, each unit featuring 180 degree views, modern bathroom, electric blankets and continental quilts for the cool highland evenings.

Day 2
A full day is spent birding on in the high altitude forests behind Rondon Ridge. Close to the lodge are Macgregor's Bowerbird, the Brown Sicklebill, Stephanie's Astrapia and the Superb Bird of Paradise amongst many others. Further a field is the Black Sicklebill, the Buff tail Sicklebill, King of Saxony Bird of Paradise and the Short tailed Paradigalla to name a few.

Day 3
Fly by charter from Mount Hagen to Lake Murray. Arrive at Lake Murray you will be transfer to the lodge and have lunch and then proceed on with a half day birding tour. Overnight: LAKE MURRAY LODGE (BLD)

Day 4 & Day 5
Two full days of birding tour. Overnight: LAKE MURRAY LODGE (BLD)winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlife. Take a river cruise using electric motor in search of wildlife and birds. Enjoy candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by slide show and interpretation by naturalist guide. Stay overnight at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 6
Transfer to the Airstrip for your flight to Tari over some of the most rugged and impressive landscapes in the world. The country between Ambua and the Sepik region is an amazing array of jagged limestone that seem to rise and drop at impossible angles. Ambua Lodge is an inspired mixture of local architecture, spectacular views and modest luxury off the beaten track. Located at 7000 feet (2100 meters) in the PNG Southern Highlands, homeland of the Huli clan with their human hair wigs adorned with colourful flowers. Recipient of the 1991 Pacific Asia Travel Association's "Pacific Heritage Award" which sighted Ambua Lodge as "superb example of culturally sensitive and ecological responsible tourism".
Afternoon guided nature walk through the alpine forest looking for the exotic bird of Paradise. Overnight: AMBUA LODGE (BLD)

Day 7
With an amazing thirteen species of birds of paradise, Ambua and the Tari Gap is a mecca for birders seeking these amazing and colourful birds. Close to the lodge, birds that are commonly seen include the Buff-Banded Rail, Longtailed Shrike, Pied Chat, Orange-crowned Fairy-wren, Mountain Peltops, Friendly Fantail, Willie Wagtail, Blue-grey Robin and the Hooded mannikin.

Day 8
This morning you depart for your Air Niugini flight to Port Moresby and then further connected onto your outgoing international flight back home. (B) Special Note Regarding Charters: Maximum baggage allowance is 10kg per person and a maximum of 5kg carry on baggage per person. Large, hard sided suitcases are not permitted on charter aircraft.
